Eric Wangensteen
Eric Wangensteen is Bette Midler's lead trumpet player. He has been playing his 1s2 on her "Kiss My Brass" tour, playing to sold out arenas around the U.S. and Australia. He has appeared on the Tonight Show, the Ellen Degeneres Show, Australian Tonight Show, A&E Biography, Bravo, and in Rolling Stone magazine, Entertainment Weekly, and others. After receiving a Jazz Performance degree from the University of Minnesota-Duluth, Eric went on to perform and record as a lead player and featured soloist with the top studio and touring musicians in southern Florida and Los Angeles, playing/recording a range from movie soundtracks & 15,000 seat arenas to intimate jazz recordings/clubs (most recently on his wife's CD-Jana Anderson from Minneapolis). Eric also arranges extensively for bands locally and for Bette Midler. His Minneapolis tie was as a pilot for Northwest Airlines, but that's another story... His website is www.ericmusic.com
